The company held the 2011 Technical Work Summary Meeting!

On January 16, the company convened the “2011 Annual Technical Work Summary Meeting” in the headquarters conference room. All of the company’s technical personnel and cadres at the level of Deputy Minister and above attended the meeting. The meeting commenced with a report on the 2011 technical work delivered by Comrade Cai Ou, Deputy Director of the Technical Department. In his report, he provided a detailed analysis of both the achievements and the shortcomings in the company’s technical work for 2011. This year, three of the company’s products were recognized as Chongqing Municipal High-Tech Products, namely: the UP(A)D Intelligent Rail Transit Uninterruptible Power Supply, the UPAD Intelligent AC/DC Uninterruptible Power Supply System, and the Industrial-Grade AC Uninterruptible Power Supply System. 　　The meeting commenced with a report on the 2011 technical work delivered by Comrade Cai Ou, Deputy Director of the Technical Department. The report provided a detailed analysis of both the achievements and the shortcomings in the company’s technical operations for the year. 　　Zuo Yunhong, Deputy General Manager of the company, briefed the attendees on the completion status of the company’s technical projects for 2011, announced the company’s technical projects for 2012, and outlined the plans and arrangements for technical work in 2012. Mr. Zuo stated that the two overarching guiding principles for the company’s technical work in 2012 are: first, a talent strategy—internally attracting and externally collaborating while strengthening training; and second, a product strategy—closely aligning with market needs, continuously monitoring market trends, enhancing product quality, and reducing costs.

　　Finally, Wang Dewei, Chairman and General Manager of the company, delivered a speech. Mr. Wang stated that the Technical Department’s performance in 2011 was commendable; however, we must also acknowledge certain shortcomings relative to our industry peers, particularly the relatively slow pace of new-product development. Moving forward, the company will place greater emphasis on attracting technical talent—especially highly skilled, cutting-edge professionals—and will adopt policies that favor such talent, firmly upholding the principle that building a strong enterprise hinges on cultivating and leveraging top talent.
