“Writing East, Reading West”: The Youth Reading Association Officially Established—A Record of a Youth League Day Activity at Rongkai Chuanyi Company

Source:

On November 2, a crisp, clear autumn day with gentle breezes and bright sunshine, the young members of Rongkai Company gathered on the picturesque banks of the Jialing River for a unique event: the official launch of the Rongkai ChuanYi Company “East Writes, West Reads” Youth Reading Association. The occasion was marked by an outdoor picnic, bringing the gathering outdoors. Along the way, they chatted and laughed as if transported back to their school days. Upon arrival, everyone got busy in an orderly fashion—some chopped vegetables, others washed dishes, and still others lit the fire. As they savored the delicious food they had grilled themselves, they also enjoyed lively games, dancing joyfully to the “Gangnam Style” on the wide, uneven pebble path.
On November 2, a crisp autumn day with gentle breezes and bright sunshine, the young members of Rongkai Company gathered on the picturesque banks of the Jialing River for a unique event: the official launch of the Rongkai ChuanYi Company “East Writes, West Reads” Youth Reading Association.
This event took the form of an outdoor picnic, moving the setting outdoors. Along the way, everyone chatted and laughed as if they had returned to their student days. Upon arriving at the destination, each person got busy in an orderly manner—some chopped vegetables, others washed dishes, and still others lit the fire. While savoring the delicious food they had grilled themselves, they also enjoyed some fun games; on the wide, uneven pebble path, they danced the lively “Gangnam Style.” Such a joyful atmosphere naturally made everyone want to join in, and soon the entire group was immersed in laughter and merriment. Meanwhile, several young men from the organizing committee were hard at work, stretching out a banner that added a strikingly beautiful and eye-catching touch to the picnic—its words, “East Writes, West Reads,” could be seen from afar. This banner was also an important part of the event. With the support of company leadership, the Rongkai Company Youth Reading Association was officially established, a move of great significance and far-reaching impact. The establishment of the association provides a platform for guiding young employees to “read more and read well,” broadening their horizons, enhancing their cultural literacy, and showcasing their talents. Leaders from the Party and administration also attended to offer their congratulations, expressing their hope that the association’s activities will become even richer and more diverse, and that it will serve as a stage for young people to grow and demonstrate their abilities, as well as a channel for identifying and cultivating outstanding young talent, thereby making new contributions to the development of the company’s corporate culture.
After the event concluded, all the young participants rolled up their sleeves to thoroughly clean up the litter left behind from the picnic and carried it out of the riverbed, restoring a beautiful and tranquil environment to nature—thus demonstrating, through concrete actions, the well-rounded character and high standards of the Rongkai Chuanyi youth.
