This year marks the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. A century ago, an epoch-making patriotic revolutionary movement against imperialism and feudalism was spearheaded by progressive young intellectuals, who disseminated new ideas, new culture, and new knowledge, awakened the masses, and gave birth to the great May Fourth Spirit—centered on patriotism, progress, democracy, and science. With its mighty momentum, this spirit inspired the Chinese people and the Chinese nation to pursue the aspiration and confidence of national rejuvenation.
To carry forward the May Fourth Spirit, promote patriotism and corporate loyalty, and strive tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation and the company’s vision of a century of glory, the company organized a commemorative event marking the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement.
The company first launched an employee team-building program themed “My Youth, My Passion, Full of Vitality, and Bursting with Enthusiasm.” Through a variety of team-building activities, employees cultivated a strong sense of teamwork and, through concerted collaboration, collectively achieved their objectives. Throughout the process, they demonstrated outstanding qualities such as fearlessness in the face of adversity, selfless dedication, a keen awareness of the bigger picture, and seamless cooperation—qualities that epitomize the spirit of today’s young people. In them, we see the enduring legacy of the fine virtues of the Chinese nation, as well as the bright future and hope for our country, our nation, and our enterprise.
The company also convened a symposium for young employees, during which participants watched a live broadcast of President Xi’s important speech at the conference commemorating the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. They listened to Xi Jinping’s six-point directive for Chinese youth in the new era, thereby gaining a clear understanding of the historical, social, and corporate responsibilities that today’s young people are called upon to shoulder. Company leaders expressed high expectations for the younger generation, and the young employees in attendance, drawing on their own work experiences, unanimously pledged to strive for continuous improvement in their respective roles, demonstrate their value, and work in unity and collaboration to contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation—the Chinese Dream—and to the company’s vision of enduring success over the next century, ensuring that their efforts are worthy of the times.
