Rongkai Chuanyi Co., Ltd. Holds a Signing Ceremony for University-Enterprise Cooperation with the School of Manufacturing at Southwest University of Science and Technology

On January 11, 2021, the Chongqing Branch of the National Dual-Use Technology Trading Center facilitated a collaboration between Chongqing Rongkai ChuanYi Instrument Co., Ltd. and the School of Manufacturing at Southwest University of Science and Technology, culminating in a signing ceremony for a university–enterprise cooperation project to jointly develop new lithium-battery products.

On January 11, 2021, the Chongqing Branch of the National Dual-Use Technology Trading Center facilitated a strategic partnership: Chongqing Rongkai Chuanyi Instrument Co., Ltd. and the School of Manufacturing at Southwest University of Science and Technology held a signing ceremony for a university–enterprise collaboration project to jointly develop new lithium-battery products. This signed project marks the first successful collaboration between Chongqing and Beibei District under the auspices of the Chongqing Branch since its establishment in Beibei District.
　　
　　Wang Dewei, Chairman of Chongqing Rongkai Chuanyi Instrument Co., Ltd., stated: “This technology demand is aimed at providing R&D support for a new product of our company, thereby enhancing the product’s value and market competitiveness. Through the matchmaking services of the Chongqing Branch of the National Dual-Use Technology Trading Center, we have partnered with Southwest University of Science and Technology. The newly developed product will also serve as a new growth driver for our company during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.” Following the brief signing ceremony, the focus shifted to how to move forward with the collaboration. A representative from the School of Manufacturing at Southwest University of Science and Technology remarked: “We will fully leverage the school’s disciplinary strengths to accelerate R&D efforts for Chongqing Rongkai Chuanyi Instrument Co., Ltd.”
　　
　　On May 26, 2016, the National Dual-Use Technology Trading Center was officially inaugurated and put into operation at Phase II of the Mianyang Science City Innovation Center. Authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Center is the nation’s only platform for trading dual-use technological achievements and fostering military–civilian integration. Built on six core databases—the repository of dual-use scientific and technological achievements, the expert database, the equipment and instrument database, the technology manager database, the assessment and evaluation specialist database, and the enterprise database—the Center leverages services such as achievement selection, assessment, evaluation, re-R&D, and transaction guarantees to facilitate the trading, transfer, and commercialization of scientific and technological成果 and resources. To strengthen cooperation between Sichuan and Chongqing, in October last year the Mianyang-based National Dual-Use Technology Trading Center established a Chongqing sub-center in Beibei District, Chongqing, thereby helping to effectively match technologies and projects from the two regions.
